We "Lit" the Care Mobile!

Since the Care Mobile rolled into town in February, every four out of five days it has travelled to five counties along the Front Range providing both medical and dental care for children 0 - 21 who are uninsured or underinsured. To honor our Care Mobile as the First and ONLY "green" Care Mobile in the WORLD, (running on bio-diesel fuel), it was in the Festival of Lights Parade on December 5th. And, yes! The lights were all green! Sponsors were Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado, Peak Vista Community Health Centers, and K-LITE. Colorado Springs Utilities and the Energy Resource Center partnered to provide low-energy light bulbs to families in need for every bulb sold. Lights were donated by Christmas Decor by Timberline. Throughout December, you can purchase lights by calling 719.471.1814. Reasonably priced at just $5.00, we hope you'll want to buy several! Any and all monies raised stay in Southern Colorado to support the programs of RMHC.
